NEWARK - An overnight fire ripped through several homes in Newark.

The fire began at a structure that's believed to have been abandoned on 20th Street by Grand Street. The building was completely destroyed.

The flames jumped to adjacent homes on either side. Everyone in the adjacent homes made it out safely.

Firefighters remain on the scene, dousing hot spots.

Investigators have not yet said what may have caused the fire.
