An early morning fire ripped through a home in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN - Fire investigators are searching for what may have sparked an early morning fire that ripped through a home in Middletown Township.

The fire completely destroyed the two-story home located at 9 Alimar Drive.

A neighbor says the home was recently sold and vacant at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Fire crews, overseen by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, began pulling out debris from the home in an attempt to find the cause of the fire.
