Fire rips through historic Station Restaurant and Bar in Bernardsville (1/8/16)

BERNARDSVILLE - An overnight fire ripped through a historic restaurant and bar in Somerset County.

The three-alarm blaze broke out just before 3 a.m. at the Station Restaurant and Bar in Bernardsville.

Firefighters from several nearby towns were called in to help extinguish the flames.

About 20 people living in apartments above the restaurant have been displaced. The American Red Cross responded to the fire to help the eight families displaced. They will be provided with shelter and clothing.

Fire officials say no one was injured in the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
