Fire destroys Toms River house; no injuries reported

A total of six fire companies worked together to put out a large house fire that broke out Friday morning in Toms River. (2/21/14)

TOMS RIVER - A total of six fire companies worked together to put out a large house fire that broke out Friday morning in Toms River.

Everyone inside the two-story home home on Clinton Avenue made it out safely before it was consumed by the flames.

Fire crews tried to rescue two mixed-breed Rhodesian Ridgebacks trapped inside the home, but they died in the fire.

Firefighters are trying to determine what sparked the blaze, but believe it started in the kitchen area.
