OCEAN CITY - Flames ripped through the Seventh Street Surf Shop around 8 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Ocean City Fire Department.

Crews were able to contain the fire about an hour later.

Officials say that neighboring stores suffered only minor damage, but the surf shop was a total loss.

About 70 firefighters responded to the scene. No injuries have been reported.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
