MORGANVILLE - An overnight fire destroyed a large home in Morganville.

The fire broke out at a home on Marseille Terrace. The home was set back into the woods and made it difficult for firefighters to access.

Firefighters also faced water issues as the nearest hydrant was nearly a mile away, according to fire officials.

Video from Chopper 12 shows the home was leveled to its foundation.

A husband and wife living in the home heard smoke alarms going off and were able to escape unharmed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
