SPARTA - Fire investigators are working to determine what sparked a deadly blaze in Sparta.

Flames tore through a home located in the Lake Mohawk section of the town just before 6 a.m. Saturday, destroying it.

Police say a man was found dead inside. His identity has not yet been released.

A neighboring home was also damaged by the fire.

A Sparta firefighter was treated for second-degree burns on his shoulder and back.
