JERSEY CITY - The Red Cross is assisting five families who were displaced when a fire ripped through three homes early Sunday morning.

The flames broke out in the home located at 98 Wegman Parkway, and spread to two neighboring houses.

One homeowner says everyone made it out safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
