Fire at Crosspoint condo complex in East Brunswick forces several families to evacuate

EAST BRUNSWICK - An early morning fire in East Brunswick forced several families from their homes.

Residents say the blaze started between 3:30 and 4 a.m. Saturday at a Crosspointe condominium complex. They believe it started in a first-floor rear unit.

Approximately six of the complex's units were destroyed, while others suffered minor smoke and water damage.

No fatalities were reported, but three people were treated for minor injuries. Six families have been displaced.

Fire officials have not released what may have sparked the blaze.
