BELFORD - A commuter ferry boat that ran aground near the Belford ferry terminal has been moved to a nearby dock.

A spokesperson for NY Waterway says no passengers were aboard the boat. The ferry was on a return trip from New York City. The spokesperson said the boat became stuck in what he called an exceptionally low-tide.

A photo submitted by a News 12 New Jersey viewer near the scene showed the commuter ferry in what appeared to be shallow water.
