BRICK TOWNSHIP - Following Hurricane Irene, FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Administration) has opened a Disaster Recovery Center at the Brick Township Civic Center on Chambers Bridge Road in Brick Township.

According to a release from Ocean County, visitors to the center can receive information about different types of state and federal disaster assistance, as well as get help for completing applications for low-interest disaster loans.

The center will also serve as a place to find out about the status of Federal Assistance and receive referrals to voluntary organizations. Visitors can also learn how to reduce the impact of future disaster losses.
