PATERSON - (AP) - Raging floodwaters continue to keepresidents in parts of northern New Jersey from their homes as thenation's busiest railroad line resumes service Wednesday in thewake of Hurricane Irene.

Flooding continues to besiege Paterson, Little Falls andMontville Township as the state's rain-swollen rivers crest andslowly recede.

Flooding ended at the Trenton train station, clearing the wayfor Amtrak trains to resume service between New York City andPhiladelphia. NJ Transit trains are rolling in the NortheastCorridor with delays between Trenton and New York City.

There are 171,289 homes and businesses without electricity. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and FederalEmergency Management Agency Administrator Craig Fugate will tourNew Jersey Wednesday to view the damage firsthand.
