EDISON - FedEx has become the source of ire for some as the shipping giant failed to deliver some packages in time for Christmas.

The company made some last-minute changes to try to get more presents delivered on time by boosting its staff and opening stores for a few hours on Christmas Day.

FedEx blamed the delays on weather conditions across the country and a higher volume of packages than expected.

FedEx asked customers to check its website or call 1-800-GO-FEDEX to try to track down any missing packages.
