PATERSON - A delivery to a warehouse on Fulton Street in Paterson got interrupted by a federal raid Tuesday afternoon.

Oumar Diallo says he was greeted by FBI agents when he tried to make an automobile parts delivery.

The agents were in the middle of conducting raids on three locations as a part of an investigation into counterfeit replacement car parts. Authorities say these counterfeit parts were being installed in New York City limos and taxis.

According to the federal complaint, the suspects were repackaging generic automobile parts to make them look like real equipment from Ford, GM and other manufacturers. News 12 has been told that selling generic replacement parts is not illegal, but officials say how the defendants were selling them is a crime.

Three men are in custody for selling the counterfeit parts.
