EAST RUTHERFORD - The FBI has now confirmed that envelopes full of a suspicious powder sent to areas around MetLife Stadium are harmless.

The packages were sent to five area hotels, two post offices and the office of former New York City Mayor Rudolph Guliani.

Some of the people who came into contact with the powder went to Hackensack University Medical Center to be checked out. However, no illnesses or injuries have been reported.

The incident sparked a massive police response, due to the proximity to MetLife Stadium, site of this Sunday's Super Bowl.

Law enforcement officials have said no threats have been discovered thus far.

The Joint Terrorism Task force and FBI are investigating to see who sent the envelopes.
