FLEMINGTON - The Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office and the FBI have joined Flemington police in the search for five suspects wanted in a brazen jewelry store heist.
Investigators are looking to the public for additional leads in the case. Police want to interview anyone who may have been in the parking lot outside Roman Jewelers on Route 12 in Flemington when it was robbed May 5.
The store was robbed at approximately 12:20 p.m. Five armed men rushed into the store, ordered employees and customers onto the floor, and stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry and watches.
The prosecutor especially wants to speak with witnesses that may not have come forward yet. Police believe other suspects and getaway vehicles outside the store may have been involved.
