BRIDGEWATER - For Jim Lodise, having a catch in the outfield at TD Bank Park is the ideal way to spend Fathers Day with his kids.

"Well, growing up with a dad who played minor league ball, it's indescribable," Lodise said.

Lodise and hundreds of other fathers were invited onto the TD Bank Park field prior to the Somerset Patriots game to toss the ball around with their children.

?The fact that I have two girls and they are so into baseball already. It's just incredible for me," Lodise said.

And after a catch with the kids, Lodise went on to daydream a bit.

"I'm imagining fielding the ball out here and gunning it to home."
