Father, son to run NYC Marathon for homeless youth charity

RIDGEWOOD - A Bergen County father and son will run the New York City Marathon on Sunday to raise money for a New Jersey charity that helps homeless youth.

Brian and Eric Koch, of Upper Saddle River, will run the 26.2-mile race for Covenant House NJ.

The two have run more than 1,000 miles around the Garden State in preparation for the race.

?I can draw strength from knowing these kids have so many hurdles to overcome in life and for me to overcome pain in legs seems small," said Brian Koch.

Their combined races have raised more than $20,000 for the charity.
