Father of 2 gunned down on steps of Paterson home

PATERSON - Relatives say Jose Moises Candelario had just come home from visiting his sister when the father of two was gunned down on the front steps of his Paterson home.

Relatives say Candelario came to America to escape the violence of his homeland, El Salvador.

Candelario's brother, Leonel, says he is looking for clues, trying to figure who would do this to a man he says was gentle and so giving. He says that one time his brother had a problem with a couple of men, but he doesn't really know much else.

The victim worked at a landscaping company in Ridgewood. Jessica Ferrazzano says she lost a warm and loving brother-in law.

Police are asking for the public's help in solving this case and are asking those with information to call the detective bureau.
