PARSIPPANY - A driver was killed in an accident involving a tractor-trailer that has caused the closure of I-280 in Parsippany.

Some traffic is being allowed through on the shoulder.

State police say the accident in Morris County was reported after 2 p.m. on the westbound side of I-280 near exit 1.

There were no other injuries reported.

The highway is closed westbound at the scene.
