Farmers make pitch to save horse racing in NJ

SOMERSET - The owners of the Suydam Farm in Somerset hope that horse racing stays in New Jersey. While most of the attention for the debate has gone to Atlantic City and the Meadowlands, farmers have been watching the debate from all corners of the state.

Today, farmers that provide the hay that the racehorses eat, as well as horse breeders, also spoke at the gaming commission meeting.
