ATLANTIC CITY - The family of an Old Bridge man is mourning his death over the weekend during an apparent carjacking.

Police say Sunil Rattu, 28, was shot and killed inside the parking garage of an Atlantic City casino on Sunday. His girlfriend, 24-year-old Radha Ghetia, of Parlin, was wounded and is being treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus.

Ghetia says the couple turned over money, a credit card and a cell phone and begged for their lives, to no avail. She says Rattu had just finished nursing school and was set to take his exam at the end of the month.

Rattu's family says it's outrageous that the parking garage had no security guards or surveillance cameras on each floor. The incident marks the second fatal carjacking connected to the Trump Taj Mahal in the past 16 months.
