TRENTON - Family and friends of a Trenton 14-year-old who was shot by police gathered outside the offices of the Trentonian newspaper to continue their call for justice.
Radazz Hearns was shot seven times by police last month when a Mercer County sheriff's officer and two New Jersey state troopers responded to reports of gunfire. Hearns was shot after he allegedly tried to run away from the officers. He survived his injuries and faces several charges
Hearns' mother says that she wants the officers held accountable for her son's injuries.
"Just because you are the law does not make you above the law," says Slimes Jackson. "You need to be punished for what you did."
Supporters gathered outside the Trentonian to call for an internal affairs investigation of all law enforcement departments that potentially leaked Hearns' juvenile and police records to the newspaper.
