PLEASANT BEACH - Many families took to the boardwalk at Point Pleasant Beach to celebrate Mother’s Day under the sun.

“This is my special day, so I wanted to come with my family here and we're all going to enjoy a day on the beach,” said Denise Puccio of Paramus.

The warm weather helped boost restaurant and shop traffic, especially at Perk’s Café, which was mobbed with patrons Sunday afternoon.

Manasquan Florist owners say they saw their Mother’s Day boost.
