TOMS RIVER - The body of fallen Navy SEAL Denis Miranda arrived in New Jersey today at the McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst base.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Denis Miranda graduated from Toms River East in 2003, where he was a member of the varsity swim team. The 24-year-old was killed when his helicopter crashed in Afghanistan during combat operations.

Miranda is survived by his parents and two younger brothers. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday in Toms River.
