Fake marijuana photo won't cost Cresskill cop his job

CRESSKILL - A Cresskill police detective won't lose his job after he was photographed smoking a fake marijuana cigarette at a concert.

The photo showed Cresskill Detective Lt. Joseph Trumbetti in uniform smiling as someone lights a rolled-up paper in his mouth at a concert at the town's recreation center.

Police officials say there was no trace of drugs and everyone nearby knew it was a joke. Trumbetti will be punished for not showing good judgment. However, the officer will keep his job.
