TEANECK - The Fairleigh Dickinson University campus in Teaneck has been reopened this morning and about 100 residents in the area have had water restored following a water main break.

Officials say a contractor digging on River Road punctured a 30-inch water main yesterday afternoon.

There was about a mile-long stretch from Cedar Lane to Wendell Place where customers were without water overnight and into this morning.

River Road remains was closed between Tilden Avenue and Cedar Lane as crews patched up the roadway.

About 400 students living in dorms were temporarily housed in a gymnasium on the Hackensack side of the campus.
