WOODBRIDGE - Extra state police patrols will be on hand today to help plow operators deal with the snow on the state's highways.

Officials say additional coverage will focus on trouble spots from last month's storm, Routes 80, 78 and 280, where more than 500 motorists became stranded.

The troopers will help identify stranded motorists and deter drivers who try to pass snowplows, which can often lead to the vehicles getting stuck and hinder plowing operations.
