A 155-millimeter artillery shell that was found in a backyard on Linden Avenue in Montclair was removed Thursday night by Air Force personnel based out

MONTCLAIR - A 155-millimeter artillery shell that was found in a backyard on Linden Avenue in Montclair was removed Thursday night by Air Force personnel based out of McGuire Air Force Base.

Residents who were evacuated earlier as a precaution from Montclair and neighboring Glen Ridge are being allowed to return to their homes. The artillery shell was discovered by a neighbor who contacted police.
