EDISON - Experts are warning New Jersey residents to be prepared ahead of the snow by checking to make sure their cars are ready.

A winter storm is expected to hit New Jersey Saturday and could dump a significant amount of snow.

AAA experts say one of the most important things people should do is check their car batteries because car batteries can lose power in the cold.

They also say to make sure your tires have enough air because tire pressure can change in the cold weather. In addition, they say make sure your tires are not worn.
