PARAMUS - Experts say hundreds of Halloween stores are opening for business around New Jersey, signaling that the state's real estate market is recovering.

Officials say the temporary pop-up stores are great for landlords because they produce high-volume, high-margin business and are able to pay the rent quickly.

Retail broker Chuck Lanyard says the vacancy rate in New Jersey is about half that of the rest of the country.

Experts say the number of pop-up stores in the Garden State has doubled in the past five years.
