TRENTON - Longtime Trenton Mayor Doug Palmer says he sees big things ahead for New Jersey's capitol city.

Speaking exclusively to News 12 New Jersey, Palmer expressed that the key to getting Trenton back on track is city leadership building better relationships.

Palmer said those relationships were a key part of his 20-year run as mayor of the capitol city.

Palmer also weighed in on the scandal surrounding current Mayor Tony Mack, expressing sympathy for Mack's family and for Trenton residents.
