NEWARK - Former Rutgers University student Dharun Ravi faces charges of evidence tampering in the case of his roommate's death last year.
Ravi was charged last week with several counts of bias intimidation and invasion of privacy. Prosecutors say Ravi and another student used a webcam to watch part of roommate Tyler Clementi's encounter with another man.
He is now being charged with evidence tampering after prosecutors say he attempted to delete text messages and Twitter posts linked to the incident.
Clementi jumped to his death off the George Washington Bridge last September.
