BELMAR - A former Belmar High School baseball coach convicted of child endangerment was released from prison this morning.

Bart McInerney was released from South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton yesterday afternoon. A state appellate court argued he deserves a new trial because the judge gave confusing or inadequate instructions to the jury.

McInerney was serving an 18-year term for sending sexually explicit text messages to several boys.
