Essex County executive sworn in for third term

It was a day of ceremony and celebration in Newark today, as Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo was sworn into his third term by Gov.

NEWARK - It was a day of ceremony and celebration in Newark today, as Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo was sworn into his third term by Gov. Chris Christie.

The ceremony took place at the Essex County courthouse before hundreds of people. Gov. Christie praised DiVincenzo for his dedication to Essex citizens.

Also sworn in today was Chris Durkin, who was elected to his second term as Essex County clerk.

Several New Jersey politicians were on hand for the ceremony.
