POMPTON LAKES - Community activists in Pompton Lakes demanded a regular newsletter from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) about a cleanup project of the DuPont site, and the EPA agreed.
The agency is close to approving plans for the cleanup project. Residents are thankful that the EPA listened to the residents and agreed to keep the community up to date.
The EPA is drafting a plan to clean up contamination leftover from the now-vacant DuPont chemical plant.
