Empty Sky 9/11 memorial to be dedicated Saturday

JERSEY CITY - The Empty Sky memorial in Jersey City leaves a different impression on everyone that walks through it.

Empty Sky architect Jessica Jamroz designed all of its features, including the walls reaching up to where the Twin Towers once stood, the reflections and the path to Lower Manhattan. Jamroz says she knew the sunlight would hit the memorial differently every moment and reflect light, but she never imagined the halo effect the sun creates along the monument.

The full dedication will take place this Saturday. News 12 New Jersey will have full coverage beginning at 11 a.m.9/11 New Jersey Remembers
