EMERSON - An Emerson physician's license has been suspended after she was accused of trying to stab a 13-year-old patient hundreds of times with a screwdriver, according to a news release from the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Sylvia Lee was an allergist at the Center of Asthma and Allergy in Old Bridge.

The incident allegedly occurred at Lee's home on July 3 after she became upset that the child had failed to wash what was described as "doggie clothes" and a "doggie towel."
