Emergency response drill today in Ocean County

EDISON - Members of New Jersey Task Force One (NJTF-1) began a three-day emergency response exercise in the Ocean County area today.

Ocean County residents and commuters may see a convoy of emergency response vehicles around the Garden State Parkway, Rt. 37, Route 539, and Route 70 during the morning commute.

NJTF-1 is the NJ Office of Emergency Management's Technical Search and Rescue Team, which specializes in rescuing people trapped or entombed in collapsed buildings.

The drill will end on Thursday.
