PISCATAWAY - First responders were on the Dow Chemical campus Thursday for training on how to deal with a hazardous material spill.
Those taking part in the training were on board what's known as the "safety train."
Thirty people from all over the state learned how to fix valve leaks that could occur on rail cars and tanker trucks in the case of an accident.

Trains leaving industrial plants often carry chemicals like chlorine, hydrochloric acid or ethanol.
The training for first responders continues through Saturday.
