EDISON - (AP) - Emergency repairs to an overpass are causing some delays in central New Jersey.

The state Transportation Department found a beam on the Interstate 287 overpass over Amtrak's Northeast Corridor tracks in Edison had weakened.

The right northbound lane is closed, leaving two lanes open and slowing traffic. Southbound traffic is not affected.

New Jersey Transit says Northeast Corridor trains are operating on or close to schedule. Train tickets are no longer being cross-honored on buses.
