Elks Moore Camp hosts children with disabilities

HASKELL - Elks Moore Camp in the Ramapo Mountains is referred to as the "Miracle on the Mountain." The Passaic County camp hosts special-needs children all summer long.

The camp opens its doors to about 70 different kids each week with a variety of different disabilities including Down syndrome, autism, and cerebral palsy. The children stay for a week and are assigned their own counselor, who helps them do everything from swim to arts and crafts and even get ready for bed.

The campers attend free of charge with the donations from Elks Lodges across New Jersey.
