ELIZABETH - An Elizabeth police lieutenant is facing disciplinary action for failing to report a "mooning" incident inside police headquarters.

Lt. Jaime Colon will be questioned during a disciplinary hearing this morning.

Colon will be asked about an incident from early June where an off-duty police sergeant mooned him and other officers during roll call.

The officer who apparently "mooned" his co-workers was identified as Sgt. James Kearns. The officer remains suspended from the force.

Kearns was part of an earlier News 12 New Jersey investigation in which he was caught on tape organizing parties where officers drank on-duty.
