ELIZABETH - Two Elizabeth police officers have been sentenced to three years probation in a no-show jobs scandal.

Christopher Flatley and Michael Tropeano pleaded guilty to charges of third-degree theft.

The two were paid for working security shifts at city housing complexes, without actually doing the work.

Flatley, a 25-year veteran, will be eligible for his pension.
Tropeano does not have enough hours to qualify for pension benefits.

A Kane In Your Corner investigation revealed the officers' inappropriate conduct.
