EDISON - If you are in the market for a new best friend, the Edison Animal Shelter is the place to go.

A total of 15 dogs were found wandering the streets with no identification in the past eight days. All of the dogs appeared healthy and well cared for when they were found, but the influx has stretched the shelter to the limits.

"You know, we're at capacity. The good news is we have foster networks helping us out," says Jay Elliot, of the Edison Health Department. "It keeps things at bay, but right now we're 100 percent full at the inn."

The shelter is still hoping owners will come and claim their animals.   If not claimed by owners, the dogs are available for adoption with shots and neutering included for $150.

The Edison shelter serves six towns in Middlesex and Union counties.
