Edison's business manager let go in town-hall shakeup

EDISON - The past few weeks have been rocky for Edison Township. The chief of police was suspended and now the business administrator is being let go.

Edison Mayor Antonia Ricigliano says the suspension of Chief Thomas Bryan has nothing to do with the recent controversy over administrator Dennis Gonzalez.

Ricigliano says she felt pressure to let Gonzalez go, because her colleagues on the council had issues with his business style. She says Gonzalez has a strict demeanor, which she thinks comes from his military background.

The council president says there was a contentious relationship between council members and the business administrator that kept them from getting a lot done.
