EDISON - Edison police have arrested three men allegedly linked to dozens of break-ins in three different counties.

Police say the string of burglaries started in September and didn't end until they made a break in the case last Friday when the suspects were caught on surveillance video fleeing a house and triggering the alarm.

Officials say Alveiro Bravo, 34, of Plainfield, Juan Manuel Aponte-Ortiz, 25, of West Monroe, Louis., and Christian Ortega-Rey, 25, of Houston, Tex., have been charged with five break-ins, but police suspect they are responsible for 26 in the north end of Edison and as many as 40 across the area.
