A showing of the new Batman movie was halted at the Edgewater Multiplex Theater Monday night after police received a phone call claiming someone opened

EDGEWATER - A showing of the new Batman movie was halted at the Edgewater Multiplex Theater Monday night after police received a phone call claiming someone opened the emergency exit.

The call came in about 90 minutes into a screening of 'The Dark Knight Rises.' Police say they stopped the movie and asked the person who opened the door to come forward. When no one did, the movie was canceled.

About 100 customers received refunds due to the incident.
