East Orange firefighters rescue trapped construction worker (4/19/16)

EAST ORANGE - Members of the East Orange Fire Department say their training was put to good use on Tuesday as firefighters rescued a trapped construction worker.

Deputy Fire Chief Christopher Weiss tells News 12 New Jersey a dump truck operator lost control of the rig and it fell over, trapping the operator’s legs.

Firefighters were able to lift the construction equipment using high-powered lifting airbags. 

Authorities did not identify the victim, but say he suffered a broken leg.
