Morris County authorities say 25-year-old Erin Dougherty and 30-year-old Daniel Aratow left a fetus in a garbage can outside their East Hanover home.The couple is

EAST HANOVER - Morris County authorities say 25-year-old Erin Dougherty and 30-year-old Daniel Aratow left a fetus in a garbage can outside their East Hanover home.

The couple is charged with improperly disposing of medical waste.

The charges are based on the theory that the child was delivered stillborn. Dougherty and Aratow could face murder charges if it?s determined that the baby was born alive.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Morris County Prosecutor's Office at 973-285-6200.
